Commercial Lines Account Manager

Position Description:

We are seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager for our insurance agency that will provide customer solutions, act as a liaison, maintain an understanding of company processes, and provide products and services to meet the needs of each customer.  The candidate for this role will have strong communication and organizational skills with a desire to provide exceptional customer service. 

The candidate will be responsible for servicing and processing a book of business; requesting and processing of new and renewal policies, endorsements, audits including audit disputes, cancellations and reinstatements; remarketing of accounts; creating proposals; certificates of insurance as well as account-rounding. This role will support the efforts of our agency sales team.

Successful Candidate Qualifications:

  • New York State Property & Casualty insurance license
  • Prior commercial lines insurance Customer Service Representative or account manager experience of at least two (2) years
  • High school diploma
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to help clients with their insurance needs
  • Ability to maintain professional and courteous communication at all times
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
  • Focused, productive, and accountable with an attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office systems proficiency
  • Experience with customer relationship management software preferred
