New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal
Eastern Shore Associates is proud
of its longstanding relationship with NYSIR, the New York Schools
Insurance Reciprocal (www.nysir.org).
NYSIR,
formed in 1989, is the only insurance company owned by participating
school districts in New York State. Schools are the only type of
risks NYSIR insures and they do it well. In 1989, there were 56
school districts insured in the program. Today, that number has
grown to over 330.
These
numbers are impressive, but the real story is what NYSIR delivers.
As a not for profit insurance company, NYSIR is free to concentrate
its energies on meeting the needs of it's participating schools
rather than those of it's stockholders. NYSIR offers New York
schools the most complete package of coverage and service available
in the market today.
Eastern Shore Associates currently insures nearly 30 school
districts in partnership with NYSIR. Because of our extensive
experience working in this market, we have developed a strong
appreciation of the unique challenges faced by school districts. We
have a separate department dedicated to helping schools manage their
